Flow Yoga links breath and movement in continuous sequences — postures transition with the inhale and exhale rather than being held in stillness. The result is a class that builds cardiovascular capacity, muscular endurance, and coordination simultaneously. Each class moves through a different creative sequence, so the practice stays varied across the week and across the term.
At Infuse Health, Flow classes are taught with clear cueing and modifications offered throughout, which makes the format accessible without softening the physical demand for more experienced practitioners.
A session opens with breath awareness and a progressive warm-up, then moves into standing sequences, balancing postures, and floor work before finishing with a passive cool-down. The pace is faster than Yin Yoga and less held than Iyengar — the emphasis is on moving continuously, maintaining the breath, and adapting to what each sequence asks for.
Flow Yoga suits adults who want a physically demanding yoga practice with some cardiovascular component, practitioners from other yoga styles looking for more variety and creative sequencing, and adults who are already reasonably active and want a yoga class that matches that.
It's not the right class if you're brand new to yoga and want detailed instruction in alignment — Foundation Iyengar Yoga is a better starting point. It's also not a recovery class — Yin Yoga covers that.
Muscular endurance across the whole body through repeated transitions and sustained posture work. Cardiovascular capacity through the continuous breath-linked movement. Hip, hamstring, and thoracic mobility through a broad range of sequencing that covers more postural territory than single-style classes. Coordination and balance through standing and one-legged postures integrated throughout the sequence.
Flow Yoga runs three times a week at the Infuse Health studio at 4/10 William Street, Adamstown — two lunchtime classes during the week and a Saturday morning session at 7am. The schedule suits members who train in other classes and want a dynamic yoga practice alongside that work, rather than as their sole session. Included in all memberships. The 4-week intro offer includes Flow Yoga alongside the full timetable.
